Terms & conditions

These terms apply to bookings made with Girdwood Outdoors Ltd, a company registered in Jersey.

Cancellation policy: full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your session. No refund within 48 hours, but we'll always try to help you reschedule. Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically take 5–10 working days to appear on your statement.

Weather: outdoor activities go ahead in most weather. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we'll be in touch to reschedule at no charge. We don't offer refunds for participant weather preferences.

Age & guardianship: most activities are open to ages 8 and up (10+ for climbing and biking). When booking for under-18s, the booker confirms they have parental responsibility for the participants and accepts these terms on their behalf.

Liability: outdoor activities carry inherent risk. We follow industry-standard safety practices, use certified equipment, and run sessions with qualified instructors. Participants accept the inherent risks of outdoor sport. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected booking, except where law prevents such limitation (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Behaviour: instructors may end a session at any time if a participant's behaviour creates risk to themselves or others. No refund is offered in these cases.

Governing law: these terms are governed by Jersey law and any dispute will be resolved in the Jersey courts.
